Everything You’ll Need in Our Gulf Shores Flat Rentals
Step into your vacation flat and immediately feel the pressures and stress of everyday life melt away. The bright, open interiors and beach casual accessories set the mood for your stay. This is casual, mellow beach life at its best! Your flat’s open floor plans are perfect for impromptu family gatherings; when was the last time your family had game night or family movie night? Fill a few bowls with freshly made popcorn and get started on the fun!
Fully equipped kitchens make it easy to feed your hungry group when they wander back in after a day of beach fun. And after a long day out fishing, you can grill your catch out on the deck, enjoying the sea breeze and a nice cool beverage. Or, stop by the local market for fresh seafood or grab some take out from one of our local restaurants. It will all taste delicious when you dine outside on your rental’s private deck.
You’ll be able to keep in touch with the rest of the world (if you have to) with your flat’s free Wi-Fi. And the large flat screen TVs with free cable that are scattered around these vacation flat rentals in Gulf Shores make it easy for everyone to enjoy their favorite shows when they aren’t out playing in the surf.
End your day with a moonlit walk along the beach, then head back in to your comfy bed covered with soft, velvety linens, and drift off to sleep while you listen to the sound of the waves breaking softly on the sand.
What to Do When You’re Here
Our 3-bedroom vacation flat rentals in Gulf Shores are all close to the bright white sandy beach, if not right up on it. Spend all day with your best friends from college strolling through the surf catching up and reminiscing about old times or just grab a cool drink and do some people watching. Your group can rent jet skis, try parasailing or paddle boarding. Rent a party boat as you recreate the old days and make some new memories while you search for dolphins or do a little fishing.
Get your entire group out on the water with a dolphin watching tour, or deep sea fishing adventure. Charter a deep sea fishing adventure for serious deep sea action as you hunt for that trophy marlin or wahoo. Or easily fish any time of year off the pier at Gulf State Park. Teach the kids to fish or just watch the regulars. You never know what’s swimming around the pier. You can catch anything from catfish, snappers, and redfish to the occasional shark. If you love fishing, you’re in the right place. It’s great all year round in the Gulf!
Head to Gulf State Park for the day. You can kayak or paddleboard on one of the lakes, fish from the Pier, start a friendly competition while geocaching, or hike along the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trails. The fully accessible trails wind through diverse habitats including freshwater marshes, ancient sand dunes, sandy oak hammocks and more. The trails are a main stopover point for migrating birds during spring and fall months, as well as home to a variety of wildlife and native plants. Keep an eye out for the other local residents – alligators, raccoons, deer, foxes, armadillos, hawks, herons, the elusive bobcat and more.
For some tamer animal fun and interaction, head to the Alabama Gulf State Zoo. The kids will love petting the anteater, playing with the wily lemurs, and feeding the giraffes. The zoo provides a home to many of the world’s endangered species too, including majestic African lions and Bengal tigers, Alabama gopher tortoises, toucans, and those wacky lemurs.
Avid golfers can hit the links at the Gulf State Park Golf Course or the Kiva Dunes Golf Resort, two of the area’s great public courses. Kiva Dunes Golf Resort’s course is set on the west end of the peninsula on acres of secluded coast and natural marsh, near historic Fort Morgan, and is continuously ranked among the country’s top courses. And mini golf lovers can spend a fun afternoon at the eccentric Tiki’s Mini Golf, conveniently located next to Gulf State Park. Not a golf lover? No worries, you can rent bikes at Tiki’s too, and take a ride around the trails at the Park.
For beach fun, live music and great fresh seafood, give LuLu’s, The Hangout or Tacky Jack’s a try. They’re all kid-friendly too, and right on the water. And of course, no trip to the Gulf would be complete without at least one trip to that world-famous honky tonk, the Flora Bama. Live music, fresh oyster bars, bushwackers and the beach! Our helpful staff would love to offer you more suggestions for other activities and places to find great local seafood and cool refreshing beverages. Give us a call today!
