Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show

Joseph Pawlak | December 12, 2022

The Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show is a family-friendly event held every February at The Wharf. The festival shows off the area’s fresh local seafood and its love of antique cars. With delicious fresh seafood, arts & crafts, live music and old cars – there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Seafood, Cars & More

Artists from around the southeast will have their arts & crafts on display. And the festival will feature live music and entertainment on two stages concurrently throughout the day. Food vendors will be serving up Creole-style cuisine among other delicious favorites. Fill up on jambalaya and seafood gumbo, crab cakes, Jamaican jerk shrimp, fried catfish, low country boil, and seafood nachos – just to name a few of the delectable items you can enjoy. Don’t forget to try the frozen cheesecake on a stick too!

Truly meant to be an event for the entire family, this festival won’t be serving alcoholic beverages. There is a large kids’ zone with a climbing wall and inflatables, and there will be a new event this year – Paws on Parade. Dress your furry best friend, your kids and yourself up in colorful costumes, grab a stroller or wagon and get in line for this fun event. A $5 donation is all that’s required to participate in the parade. Best Costume/Wagon Float prizes will be given out to the three best entries. Register for the parade from noon to 1pm at the Ferris wheel. The Orange Beach Seafood Festival parade starts at 1:30pm.

And, don’t forget the car show with antique and classic cars and hot rods. You’ll find the show on the west side of The Wharf this year, with lots more display room. The car show is open from 10am to 3:30pm. Are you the proud owner of an antique car or tractor? Do you still have that hot rod from high school hanging around? Bring your baby in for everyone to admire. To register your vehicle, you can find an application on the Festival’s website.

The Orange Beach Seafood Festival: Fun for a Cause

It’s all for a good cause too; the festival is a fundraiser for the Orange Beach Sports Association, which supports youth sports in Orange Beach. This year’s festival falls on February 23rd, and lasts from 10am until 4pm at The Wharf. The Wharf is located at 23101 Canal Road in Orange Beach. Admission is free, and parking is plentiful. Oh – this year’s Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show logo contest winner was Channing Robbins, a 6th grader from Orange Beach Elementary School. Nice job!
