Amenities in Our Fort Morgan Villa Rentals

While all of Fort Morgan is somewhat isolated and certainly quieter than other Gulf communities, we have rentals that are even more secluded and rentals that are in resort communities where you have the option of joining in with other guests or not. You decide how close you want to be to others.

Many of our high-rise condos (located in resort communities) come with amazing ocean views and access to the amenities associated with the resort including swimming pools, tennis courts, fitness centers, hot tubs, and onsite restaurants. Many of our beachfront homes feature private decks and porches, and quick, easy access to the beach. Beachfront or beach-adjacent, you decide.

For fishing and boating enthusiasts, some of our Fort Morgan properties have private docks, fishing piers, and boat trailer parking. Bring your boat and all your gear! And many of our rentals are dog-friendly, so you won’t have to leave anyone behind.

All of our Fort Morgan beachfront rental villas have free Wi-Fi (for those times you absolutely have to check in with the real world), decks for watching the amazing sunsets, and great ocean views!

Groups Large or Small

Whether you are part of a large group or are traveling solo, one of our rentals is sure to fit. From 2 to 8 bedrooms (sleeping up to 28!), we can accommodate any size group. But, just in case you are planning a family reunion or destination wedding with lots of guests, we have rental properties located adjacent to each other and can handle extra-large crowds. Give our staff a call today and we’ll help you locate properties close to each other. And we have villas all along the peninsula, so whether you want to be a little closer to all that Gulf Shores has to offer or at the far end of everything, one of our villas will be just right.

What to Do in Fort Morgan Beach

When you come to Fort Morgan, it’s really about the quieter, relaxing beach experience. It’s just not as crowded as other beach communities and is so much more enjoyable. This is a narrow peninsula and the beach is everywhere! Enjoying the beach is the top activity here when staying in Harris Vacation Rentals Fort Morgan, whether it’s beachcombing, fishing, swimming, or just working on your tan.

If you love to fish, you’re going to love Fort Morgan. You can fish in the surf right in front of your beachfront bungalow, or from one of the public piers. Or, rent one of our villas with a private dock and fish in solitude. And this really is the place to sharpen up your fishing skills, or maybe teach the kids how to fish. It’s quieter and there are fewer people here in Fort Morgan. Of course, for more excitement, you can charter a boat to do some deep-sea fishing, or just to do some dolphin watching. Either way, you’ll remember this trip forever.

And of course, Historic Fort Morgan Beach is here. Explore this historic masonry fort, and maybe watch a live reenactment or cannon firing. This pentagonal-shaped fort was an important piece of the country’s coastal fortifications from the War of 1812 through WWII. And if the Fort’s escape room is open, you can do a little reenacting of your own; you’re a captured Civil War spy — it’s your duty to try to escape!

The Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge trailheads are near the fort, with several miles of hiking trails and birdwatching. The four trails vary in difficulty and length and run through different coastal habitats. You’ll be able to experience a variety of coastal landscapes from dunes, swales, wetlands, lagoons and maritime forests. Look out for raccoons, deer, red foxes, sea turtles, armadillos, hawks, osprey, herons and more while on the trails. Does someone in your group love alligators? Head to the Pine Beach Trail’s observation tower for a great view of Alligator Lake and its inhabitants. These ancient reptiles actually play an important part in maintaining the ecological balance and diversity in their habitats. And the Refuge is part of the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail and during migration months is a birder’s paradise.

You can take a day trip to Dauphin Island and Historic Fort Gaines on the ferry across Mobile Bay for more history and birdwatching. Or, practice your swing at the Kiva Dunes Golf Course. This public course is the #1 rated public golf course in the state and has a USGA rating of 73.9. If you’re an avid golfer, you don’t want to miss playing on this 18-hole course. And if there are one or more golfers in your group, you may want to consider renting one of our villas close to the course. Just grab your clubs and walk from your villa to this exciting course.

And there are a variety of local restaurants where you can get your fill of fresh seafood – Tacky Jacks, Sassy Bass, The Kiva Grill, and The Coast Restaurant – so you don’t have to drive to nearby Gulf Shores unless you want to. Of course, nothing tastes better than eating fresh fish you’ve caught yourself. Rent one of our villas with an outdoor grill, or gourmet kitchen to get the most out of your catch.
