About Fountain of Youth
Step inside from the deck, complete with chairs and loungers to enjoy the beachfront view, and you’ll immediately feel at home in this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom escape. Warm wood tones draw you through the open floor plan, living room to the kitchen, where you can whip up a delicious breakfast before starting the day’s activities. You and seven friends or family members can enjoy staying in the Fountain of Youth, with two queen beds and 2 couch sleepers serving as comfortable spots to rest after a long day at the beach.
Inside, an open layout awash in calming colors and beachy themes contains a spectacular master suite with a queen bed and a private full bath. This home also has the benefit of being pet-friendly, so even your furry and four-legged family members can come along on the tropical vacation of a lifetime
Owned by Becky Harris, Fountain of Youth is handily located close to several other Harris Properties vacation rentals, including Catalina and Bellingrath. If you’re traveling with a larger party of family or friends, reserving these vacation rentals in addition to Fountain of Youth will give you and your guests the option of staying close to one another without sacrificing space, privacy, or comfort in order to be together.

Fort Morgan
Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, The Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!
Rental Age Policy
We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy. If you are found to not be in compliance with this policy, you will be immediately evicted from the premises without a refund of any amount.

The instructions to get to and into the house was very straight forward! This place was the perfect get away! We had a great time at the beach with the pups and amazing views of the ocean from the house. I do recommend buying food from the grocery store before heading out to the house because there isn’t many options out here! Overall, a great place and highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to vacation in. Million dollar views of the Gulf and white sand beaches. The home was perfect! Walk off the deck onto the beach, walk a few feet more and your in the Gulf. Home is bright, clean and airy. Amazing home to stay!

Fort Morgan is the last of the quaint beach's that hasn't become commercial and loves dogs. I wish that wouldn't change. Fountain of Youth is a perfect size for a small family. Harris Vacation Rentals takes care of any needs that arise. Their maintenance person Reed was extremely helpful and gave Harris Vacation Rentals excellent representation. Our stay was fabulous. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen seemed well stocked. We did not have any issues to report, but communication with the management company was easy. The star of the stay was the location and the beach!

We stayed at the Fountain of Youth on Memorial Day weekend. The location of the house is spectacular. The beach is as close as depicted. The kitchen was well equipped although we did not cook much. The house was very clean and the supplies were left as stated. Harris does an excellent job of communicating with their renters. We would love to stay at Fountain of Youth in the future. Our family loves the Fort Morgan area.

We truly enjoyed our stay. If I have any suggestions, it would be more gravel where you park at and the smoke detector in the living room is very sensitive. When we made muffins in the oven the smoke detector went off. No smoke in the house, the only thing I could figure out was heat rising the last 5 minutes of baking time so I fanned it with a kitchen towel till the baking was done. But loved the house and enjoyed watching the dolphins play and walking on the beach. When I know when vacation next year will be I plan on renting again.

We had a lovely stay at Fountain of Youth. While it is not fancy, it is well maintained and well apportioned. We had one small maintenance issue that was responded to very quickly . The beach access is wonderful! The location is away from the busy venue of Orange Beach or Gulf Shores so that you aren't sharing beach access with large crowds but only your closest neighbors. Our only complaint was the many fees added by the realty company. But if you read your contract as you go you are in the know of that as well. We did find the realty company to be very friendly, professional and thorough.

This house was perfect for our family of 4! We had plenty of space and LOVED the easy access to the beach. We could sit on the porch and watch our kids in the sand, it was so close! The furniture and bedding seemed to be newer than what was pictured online. Everything was very comfortable and accommodating. We are already planning our next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fountain of Youth. I had read some reviews that said the house smelled like pet urine, it smelled fresh and clean when we arrived. It was a much needed getaway and the weather was great. The only issues we noticed with the house was the toaster didn't work, the refrigerator did not cool and the ice maker hardly made any ice during the time we were there. The back door has quite a bit of rust on it but being on the beach that is expected. There are some issues with the plugs in the house, the electrical housing in the outlets could stand to be replaced as anything we plugged in such as phone chargers would fall out. Again those are just small things but over all we had a great time and will consider booking again.

Dog and owner paradise!

So we are actually enjoying the house now. It is the perfect size for us and everything was spotless upon arrival. I had read a complaint somewhere about the strong smell of cleaner upon arrival. It was a little strong at first but hey don't you want a clean rental. And after opening the door and turning the fan on it was gone in no time. If you are looking for a place to bring you four legged baby trust me this is the perfect place. Don't have a dog, you will still love it.

My husband and our dog Daisy are staying at this house as I write this review. I'm sitting on the wonderful covered deck so close to the ocean that it feels like I can reach out and touch it! What a great place to stay for the perfect getaway. The house is clean and well cared for. The bed is comfortable and the shower works nicely. The living room and kitchen are open to each other, with four floor to ceiling windows for a great view of the ocean! After we cleaned the ocean spray off the windows, it was outstanding! I would definitely recommend this place.

The Fountain of Youth is perfect for a small family get away! Very private with fantastic views of the ocean across the front of the house, a covered deck with wood adirondack chairs, plus new dining and living room furniture! The bathtub in the hall bath doesn't drain well - must be full of sand in the trap . . .
Note: Pj, Thanks for letting us know about the slow drain. Yes, sand is a constant issue but that's what makes it so great! We will take care of it.

My second stay here and loved it. I love being right on the beach, love being so "far" down Fort Morgan that there is less traffic, love the porch with the chaise lounge for those cool mornings. Love the full kitchen, although the glass cutting board is pretty useless. I'll be back, when I can scrape enough pennies together!

Second Year of Bliss

This was the second year that I have stayed at the Fountain of Youth. Again, I was blown away at how wonderful everything was. The addition of new/updated furniture was a wonderful surprise. There is nothing bad that I can say about staying at the Fountain of Youth. I love the location, the cleanliness, and the ability to bring my dog with me. I look forward to spending my Spring Break there next year.

I can't believe we will be leaving with return to Ohio in just 2 weeks! I could not imagine that our stay this year would top last--but it's over the top. Donna, the dogs and I want to thank you, Brian for allowing us again to stay at the Fountain of Youth. Beautiful sun rises, a quaint beach and unbelievable sunsets made our days. The improvements you have made to this wonderful little beach cottage makes things even better, if that's possible. We so look forward to returning again in December and for years to come as long as we are able. We cannot imagine any other place we would want to be for our Winter stay. Vacation at The Fountain of Youth

We discovered "The Fountain of Youth" last Winter while vacationing on the Gulf Coast. Although I secretly hoped a youthful transformation would occur, sadly it did not. But what did take place was one of the most memorable times in the lives of my wife and I. Whether it was walking the dogs on the white sandy beach, viewing majestic sunrises or breathtaking sunsets this great beach cottage was magnificent. We stayed 2 months and plan to return next Winter. You will love it!
