Family Fun During Halloween in Gulf Shores

Halloween can be fun for kids of all ages, but it’s really all the little zombies, princesses and superheroes who will be having the most fun. Luckily, there are plenty of choices for a family-friendly Gulf Shores Halloween style. And with average temps in the mid to upper 70s, you won’t have to worry about bundling your little creatures up for all the fun.

Get the family together, put on your scariest costume, and head over to the Gulf Place Town Green and Public Parkway for The Wild & Wicked Beach Bash. It’s fun for kids of all ages with the Haunted Hustle 5k Walk/Run, Witches on Wheels Bike Parade, live music, food & drinks.

Boo at the Zoo (at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo) will be fun for all kids with a costume contest, games, prizes and snacks on Saturday, October 20th. Kids can have fun while trick-or-treating in a safe place. There’ll be trick-or-treat stations, face painting, games, animals galore and more!

All kinds of fun await your gang at LuLu’s Spooktacular BooLu’s Halloween Celebration. Local businesses will be handing out candy to the little creatures, with pumpkin decorating, crafts and a costume contest for the kids.

Scary Fun

For adults and older kids, try your skills at an escape room. With Historic Fort Morgan as the backdrop, you’re a Federal spy who has been captured by Confederate soldiers in the Civil War – can you escape? Or at the Gulf Shores Escape Room (701 Gulf Shores Parkway) pick your poison from the Zombie Autopsy, The Doll Attic, and Stop the Oil Spill scenarios; it’s scary fun for all ages!

Adult Fun

You can’t come to the Gulf without experiencing the world famous Flora-Bama honky tonk in nearby Perdido Key. There’s always a party going on. With a Gulf-front oyster bar, several beachfront bars, and live music on five different stages, this is “America’s last great roadhouse.” Join in the fun on Halloween at the annual Halloween Party & Costume Contest. Put on your spookiest, favorite costume for the costume contest with over $2,000 in cash and prizes!
