Feeding Gulf Shores for almost twenty years, DeSoto’s Seafood Kitchen is a casual family seafood restaurant close to the beach. This is the place for fresh seafood while you’re staying in Gulf Shores. Come on by and try one of their signature seafood dishes!

It’s all about fresh seafood! Start your meal off with oysters on the half shell, crab cakes, fried crab claws, or smoked tuna dip. Or, because this is the South, you may need a hush puppy basket or some fried green tomatoes. They also have alligator bites, a unique appetizer you simply must try!

There are salads and soups as well. Try the seafood gumbo or crab & shrimp bisque, or a soup/salad combo. It wouldn’t be a Gulf Coast beach menu without several choices of po-boys and burgers. And this is one of the few places that still serve that delicious deep-fried sandwich specialty, the Monte Cristo.

Entrees at Desoto’s Seafood Kitchen in Gulf Shores include seafood or pasta. Choose from fried or grilled shrimp, oysters or crab claws, yellow-fin tuna, tilapia, or grouper any way you like it—steamed, grilled or blackened. Give one of the house specialties a try: coconut shrimp, crab cakes, or stuffed shrimp (bacon wrapped with crabmeat stuffing and Monterey jack).

The side dishes are worth the trip just by themselves. Enjoy fried green tomatoes, sweet potato casserole, corn fritters, fried okra, black-eyed peas, and turnip greens, just to name a few of the choices. And, don’t forget the mac ’n’ cheese!

It’s still about the fresh seafood! Start with the same lunch appetizers but leave plenty of room for the entrees. Fried seafood options include all the favorites you love like butterfly shrimp, oysters, catfish and flounder. The platters let you choose more than one of your favorites, in case you really do want them all. And again, give one of the house specialties a try – blackened catfish, coconut shrimp, or crawfish etouffee.

Order the fresh-caught catch of the day—you choose how it’s cooked: blackened, grilled, broiled, pecan-encrusted, paneed, Mediterranean, or Caribbean. And if someone in your group is tired of seafood (we’re not sure how that can happen), there are several pasta, chicken and steak items to choose from.
