Are you looking for a casual seafood restaurant with great seafood? A place to take your entire family and all the kids? Maybe someplace the locals go? Well, head on over to Doc’s Seafood Shack and Oyster Bar! They’ve been serving visitors and locals alike for over 34 years.
Doc’s is casual, friendly, and laidback. It’s a great place to bring the kids after a long day at the beach, and groups aren’t a problem (although a call ahead cuts down on wait time). There’s nothing fancy here – just fresh, tasty seafood. Come as you are and dine in or drop by and take it out, whatever fits your vacation schedule. And if you spent your day fishing and lady luck was on your side, bring your catch in and Doc’s Seafood Shack will cook it up for you! You can’t get seafood any fresher than that!
Start things off with seafood gumbo or maybe some fried crab claws and onion rings. Doc’s menu has so many options for oyster lovers and seafood lovers (can you ever really eat too much shrimp?), it’s going to be hard to choose. Specialties include their “world-famous” fried shrimp, fried clam strip dinner and Doc’s homemade crab cakes. Or, build-your-own seafood platter to make sure you get exactly what you’re craving. You can get two, three or four different delicious items including fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, fried clam strips, fried fish and fried oysters. And, while most of the seafood on the menu is fried, there are several baked and grilled fish and seafood options.
Doc’s also has a blue plate lunch special every day, served from 11am to 2pm. For those land lovers in your group, there are burgers and dogs, chicken fingers and a fried chicken basket. And Doc’s has a kids’ menu too.
