Situated in Orange Beach next to a golf course is a small, old-fashioned diner called Duck’s Diner. Duck’s isn’t fancy; it’s just a great place to get some good old-fashioned Southern cooking!
Come as you are! Whether you’re getting ready to hit the links or have just finished an early round, there’s no need to change, just head on over. The décor is simple, and tables are piled high with napkins, condiments and those red plastic baskets full of jelly that you find in every diner.
Duck’s Diner in Orange Beach serves breakfast all day long, and lunch from 11am to 2pm. If you’re looking for a classic breakfast menu, this is your kind of place. Duck’s prides itself for “supporting sustainable agriculture and neighboring businesses.” They get their meat from the local butcher at the nearby Meat Mart.
Breakfast favorites include Corn Beef Hash, Country Fried Steak, and Steak & Eggs. There are several omelet, pancake and French Toast choices to choose from as well, and a Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Burrito, and that Southern staple, Biscuits & Gravy. Past specials have included Banana Stuffed French Toast with Butter Pecan Sauce and Creole Grit Cakes (deep fried grits with smoked gouda, topped with a spicy creole shrimp parmesan sauce). That should get you going!
The Duck’s Diner Lunch Menu is pretty standard stuff since they focus on breakfast. But, if you have your heart set on lunch food, no problem. Choose from a number of sandwiches, salads, and burgers. Daily specialties include a Meat & 3, Vegetable Plate, Shrimp Po’Boy, Ribeye Sandwich, Club Sandwich, and a Reuben on Rye. Several salads, a Hamburger Steak and a Ribeye round out the menu.
Duck’s also has beer, wine and full bar. Their House Specials cocktails include the “Duck’s Daybreak,” the “Fuzzy Duck,” and the “Orange Beach Overboard.”
Duck’s Diner is located at 4560 Easy Street in Orange Beach. They are open seven days a week from 7am to 2pm. They don’t deliver and don’t take reservations, but you can call ahead for take-out (251-948-9191). See the full menu on their website.
