Tired of eating at those beachy super casual spots? Do you feel like dressing up just a bit? Don’t worry, just head to The Wharf at Orange Beach and the Villaggio Grille in Orange Beach. It’s perfect after a long day of retail shopping therapy, a romantic night out, or date night. And you can book a private room for an intimate cocktail party or anniversary celebration.
This upscale casual restaurant has an Italian flavor. You can watch the chef work the wood burning pizza grill as you sit at the bar and sip your favorite cocktail or craft beer. Outside, the patio glitters at night from the multitude of tiny lights wrapped around the palm tree trunks. Watch the colorful Ferris wheel spin while you eat on the patio.
Start your meal with something from the Snacks menu. Try the Calamari Fritti, Shrimp & Crawfish Arancini, Beef Carpaccio, Mussels, and a Smoked Salmon Terrine.
Make sure you try one of the oyster selections (Prosciutto Rockefeller, Gorgonzola & Shallot, and Garlic Butter) or the sampler with all three when you visit Villaggio Grille. Other menu options include salads, sandwiches and pizzas. Order the Pear & Goat Cheese or Shrimp & Crawfish for something light.
Lunch Entrees include Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, Shrimp Scampi, Seafood Pasta, Chicken Scaloppini, Pan Seared Fish of the Day, or Veal Marsala. Dinner Entrees include Filet Mignon, Filet Oscar, Beer Braised Short Rib, Lamb Chops, Veal Marsala, Vegetable Gnocchi, and Butternut Ravioli. And, there are plenty of seafood options too: Grilled Fresh Fish of the Day, Salmon Oscar, Pan Seared Scallops, Honey Truffle Shrimp, and Mussels with Chorizo.
Don’t forget to leave room for dessert. What Italian meal would be complete without crème brulee or tiramisu?
The wine list is extensive, and the cocktails inventive. Try a Coconut Ginger Mojito or a Honey Bubble! Beer selections include a nice list of craft brews including regional selections from the Chandeleur Brewery in Gulfport, the Back Forty Beer Co. in Gadsden, and Scofflaw Brewing Co. and Orpheus Brewing in Atlanta.
