A favorite with locals and visitors alike, Wolf Bay Restaurant started out as a bait shop in the 1940’s, on Wolf Bay in Elberta, Alabama. Serving delicious seafood since 1973, this family-owned restaurant now has several locations, including in Orange Beach. Many of the dishes served today use recipes from that original humble beginning. Come on by and get a taste of a Gulf tradition.
If you are looking for a casual, relaxing atmosphere and some great seafood, you’re in the right place. Grab the Drink of the Day and sit out on the covered deck, right on the water overlooking the marina. There’s usually something going on, including live music at night. Check their Facebook page for the daily happy hour and lunch specials that will wake your appetite up.
Lunch entrees include numerous shrimp offerings, a Grilled Mahi Sandwich, a Grouper Reuben and their signature Shrimp and Grits. There’s a kids’ menu with several entrees plus smoothies and non-alcoholic daiquiris.
The dinner menu starts with plenty of oyster and shrimp choices. For those who want something light, try the seafood gumbo, lobster chowder or the full salad bar. Order one of Wolf Bay’s seafood specialties: Wolf Bay Fried Shrimp, Whole Gulf Flounder or their signature Shrimp and Grits. Fish dinner options include tuna, snapper, catfish, grouper, and mahi mahi. Seafood dinners include shrimp fixed any way you can imagine, combination seafood platters, and the traditional Low Country boil. Of course, there are pasta, steak and chicken dinners for those land-lovers in your group, and the usual po’boys and burger choices too. Plus, if you had a good day fishing, bring your catch in and Wolf Bay in Gulf Shores will cook it up for you!
