HomeJourneys in Gulf ShoresGirls’ Getaway to Gulf Shores

Planning a long weekend away with your BFFs, a bachelorette party, or maybe a college reunion? Come on down to Gulf Shores. It’s a great place for a girls’ getaway whether you want to be pampered, shop-til-you-drop, or hit the beach. Here are a few suggestions to get your planning started.

DAY 1 – Beach Day- Fun Things To Do In Orange Beach And Gulf Shores

Spend the day at the beach. Work on your tan while catching up with your friends. Walk along the pristine white beach collecting shells and great memories. Sit on the deck of one of the beachfront restaurants, dining on fresh seafood and indulge in a few of your favorite adult beverages.

DAY 2 – Dolphin Tour

Take a relaxing tour while watching the beautiful scenery and looking for dolphins. There are many tour companies in the area, but try Cetacean Cruises’ Dolphin/Nature Tour. Watch the resident dolphins play in the bay, learn about the dolphins and their habitat, and then head into the bayous for an Eco tour. Sit back with your group and watch for the local wildlife and marine life; dolphins, sharks, osprey, eagles, deer, and alligators are just some of the wildlife you may encounter. This is one of our favorite fun things to do in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.

Get up close and personal to nature, and get in some exercise while bonding with your girls on a kayak tour.

You can wander the refuge with your group, or take one of the many guided bird walks, dune hikes or night prowls offered year-round. Or climb up the observation tower to get closer to those high soaring hawks. Bird watch or just enjoy the scenery while wandering along paths in different habitats or along the beach road.
