Named after a rescued shelter dog, Cosmo’s Restaurant and Bar has been a local favorite for over ten years. With the same owners as other local favs Luna’s Eat & Drink, GT’s on the Bay, and Cobalt, you know things are going to be good!
The bright exterior and the bold-colored, fun, art-filled interior décor prepares you for the eclectic Southern coastal cuisine (and sushi) with a twist. Sit inside at the bar or at one of the tables, or head outside to the dog-friendly deck. Grab one of their specialty cocktails like the Momo’s Rum Runner (named after Cosmo!), head for the deck and start to relax. To help your evening get started, Happy Hour is every day from 3pm to 5pm.
Lunch and dinner menu options at Cosmos Restaurant in Gulf Shores include Firecracker Shrimp, Crab Cakes, Asian Glazed Tuna, Tournedos, Pork Tenderloin, the Catch of the Day, and salads, pastas, po’boys, burgers and sandwiches. Give their customer favorite Banana Leaf Wrapped Fish a try!
Recent dinner specials have included Bronzed Speckled Trout (served with white cheddar back and tomato grits and sautéed spinach, topped with a cilantro vinaigrette), Grilled Swordfish (served with pecan jasmine rice pilaf and sautéed spinach with shrimp, bacon and artichoke cream) and Blackened Red Snapper (served with Bayou Cora cheese grits and sautéed broccolini with a yellow tomato and lump crab meat cream).
Sushi is served daily after 3pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. There are over 15 different rolls available, including the usual choices (nigiri, sashimi, vegetable roll, spicy tuna roll, philly roll etc) and some not-so-usual choices like “tips-n-tails” (blackened beef tenderloin tips, tempura fried shrimp & grilled green onions), “duck roll” (panko fried duck, cream cheese, pepper jelly, asparagus & soy wrapper, topped with broiled duck and pepper jelly) or the Fried Green BLT Roll.
And leave room for dessert: Banana Fritters, Key Lime Pie, and Peanut Butter Pie, just to name a few of the delicious options!
Cosmo’s Restaurant and Bar is off the beaten path, at 25753 Canal Road in Orange Beach. They are open from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm Sunday through Thursday, and from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm Friday and Saturday. There are no reservations for this casual, neighborhood restaurant.
