About Something New

Something New is a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom beachfront home tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town in Fort Morgan. Guests will find the home to be open and spacious with extensive updates and renovations completed in the Spring of 2020. Don’t leave your furry family members behind, as this home is pet-friendly for up to 2 dogs!

Something New’s unique, extra large, gulf front lot gives guests even more privacy as well as easy access to the beach. This is a first tier home, meaning the lot is beachfront and the entire expanse of sand in front of the home, from the deck to the gulf is your own private beach!

The renovations and furnishings inside Something New are not just new, they are simply stunning! The open living area welcomes guests with plenty of comfortable seating, tasteful coastal decor, a large TV, and a gorgeous view of the beach! The living area also features a sleeper sofa to accommodate 2 additional guests.

The open dining area features seating for 6 and the same gorgeous views. The kitchen, like the rest of the home has all brand new touches, such as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances including a double oven and french-door refrigerator with icemaker.

In Something New, guests will find 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom is equipped with a king-sized bed and a private bathroom with an incredible spa shower featuring multiple jets and sprayers. Down the hall, bedroom 2 also features a king sized bed. Bathroom 2 is located in the hall and features a tub/shower combo. Each bedroom is equipped with an LCD TV.

Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, The Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

Rental Age Policy

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy. If you are found to not be in compliance with this policy, you will be immediately evicted from the premises without a refund of any amount.

Something New was a fantastic house! It's a short short walk to the water, and it's a beautiful view of it from the porch. It's a little small for 6 people but roomy for 4. The house is well maintained and has perfect beach decor. We will DEFINITELY be back!Harris has GREAT communication so we knew what to expect the entire time. Check-in and check-out were smooth as were reservations. I am glad to FINALLY find a property management company in Fort Morgan.

Had a great stay! The property was for the most part as listed. Clean and communication was amazing. Would definitely recommend. A couple suggestions would be to update pictures - missed the house first time (white instead of pink) and upgrade the keypad - was a little stubborn and would take a couple tries before unlocking.

Perfect beach house for a small family

This adorable home was the perfect size for our family of four plus our goldendoodle. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The outside sink with sprayer was great for hosing the sand off before going inside. Beds were comfy and we really enjoyed the spa shower. We'll be back!

Bachelorette Trip

We had a great time at Something New. As soon as people came into the house they couldn't stop saying how cute it is. The beach is right there, and with it being a private beach it wasn't crowded. We were right down the road from Tacky Jack's, and about 30 minutes from Gulf Shores dinner spots. It was well worth it to stay here, and drive into Gulf Shores for dinner. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Great little house easy few steps to the beach with great views. Dolphins playing in front of the property. Everything in. The house was great washer/dryer baths and kitchen. Only one small suggestion list the types of coffee makers on the website and a few more pots and pans. Maybe because of Covid19 we food here more than usual.

I don't even know where to begin! Our stay at "Something New" was amazing! The location was perfect, the house was so cozy and reminded me of a beach cottage and the beds were so amazingly comfortable! We spent our days and early evenings on the beach and spent the nights out to dinner or watching Netflix on the couch. The ambiance of this beach house was just perfect and decorated to be light, airy and beachy. We had our 2 girls with us and they adored their room, loved how close we were to the water and had so much fun looking for sea shells right down off the stairs from the house! I also loved how they had a small book on the table where all prior tenants could leave a review and say how their trip was and everything they did. It was fun looking at that and making out own memories. Everything was immaculate when we arrived and we cannot wait to return in the years to come!

We absolutely loved this house! Perfect size for our family of 5 and dog! It was very clean (and I am super picky!!) and the beds were super comfortable! New appliances in the kitchen and it was all stocked well with nice cookware! We did have trouble getting into the keypad a few times, but Harris Properties was available by phone and helped us through it! I loved the location, we had our own little beach area! We also loved the sandy, grassy space between the house and the beach, a safe place for the kids to play!! Can't wait to go back!!!

Something New was a beautiful beach house directly on the beach and exactly what we needed. We loved the view and the fact that we were able to bring our doggos which was what made us book this property! Like with all vacation properties there were pro's and con's to this property. We loved almost everything about this house, from the view, the updated look and appliances and more! The house was beautifully open and allowed for great natural light. We loved that there were curtains to close the windows when we needed some privacy. We loved the boiling knob for tea and cleaning. The master bathroom shower was amazing and perfect for getting clean after a day at the beach! We loved the removable nozzle in the sink outside, it made it so much easier to get ourselves and our pups clean after being in the sand! There were a few cons that we felt needed to be addressed. The biggest issue was the trash. The house only had one outside trash can that was full from a previous guest the entire time of our stay. Although the can was out by the road for trash day, for whatever reason it was not emptied. This lead to us having to stockpile our dog waste bags outside (and you can imagine the smell). We ended up having to find a self service car wash on our way home to dispose of the trash from our stay because we had nowhere to put it. At the very least, an additional trash can for the house would have helped. Another frustration we experienced was the check out instructions were conflicting and we hoped that we ended up doing what was asked. All instructions included a threat of a fine and because we had to have all dishes washed, dried, and put away we were not able to have the last morning breakfast we had planned. While some instructions allowed for dishes to be in the dishwasher, the instructions with the threat of fine specified all clean so that is what we went with. Considering we were enjoying a socially distant vacation, we cooked almost all of our meals at home, which would have been easier with a few more pots and pans in the kitchen. Like I said, overall we loved our experience at Something New and are already considering booking again in the future, we are hoping the few complaints are addressed for our next stay!

Perfect Vacation

This beach house was completely remodeled. Everything is new and the beds are very comfortable. Even though it is set farther off water it is a first tier property with direct beach access. There is a large, partially covered deck perfect for our dogs to run around. Kitchen was well stocked and laundry machines were large. The area was nice and not heavily populated. Plenty of room on the beach. Water is shallow out a long way. We needed to contact the management company a couple times and they were super responsive. We had a fantastic time at this house and will definitly book again.
