Cotton Creek at Craft Farms – 3840 Cotton Creek Circle, Gulf Shores

Designed by the recently departed Arnold Palmer, this 18-hole challenging, yet not intimidating Gulf Shores golf course is an award-winning tribute to his genius. Cotton Creek and her sister course, Cypress Bend, are the only two courses in Alabama to have been designed by Palmer, and we are forever grateful to him for realizing the potential of our hometown.

Cypress Bend at Craft Farms – 3840 Cotton Creek Circle, Gulf Shores

The other 18-hole Palmer designed Gulf Shores golf course features a coastal twist to golf, with acres of lush green grass winding through a variety of coastal lakes. He didn’t alter the land, he tweaked the design to complement the backdrop. Challenging for experienced players, without being intimidating to those who are new to the game, Cypress Bend is a hometown favorite with worldwide appeal.

Kiva Dunes Golf Club – 815 Plantation Drive, Gulf Shores

Designed by Jerry Pate (golfers may recognize him as a former US Open Champion), this 18-hole Gulf Shores golf course was named one of the best new courses in the nation. A full renovation of the course in the winter of 2015 has this gem of a course playing in its best form ever. Resting just a few hundred steps away from the beautiful turquoise waters of the Gulf, a day spent here will make you believe in the good of all mankind.

Refuge Golf Club & Grill – 20115 State Highway 135, Gulf Shores

While the infamous “19th hole” is often a large part of the draw of any successful course, it’s rare that it’s referenced in the name. As a matter of fact, Refuge is the only one we know of! In any case, this 18-hole Gulf Shores golf course is a true gem with lushly manicured greens, natural beauty, and the occasional deer dropping by for a quick nibble.
