About A Sun Rae Hideaway

Located in the quiet community of Morgantown, A Sun Rae Hideaway offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a brand new beach home with ample space inside and out for up to 10 guests! This home is just a short walk from one of Morgantown’s 4 beach boardwalks for easy access to the beach. Also nearby, are the community’s 2 pools and tennis courts. Morgantown even offers a kiddie pool for the little ones to enjoy splashing. After a day at the beach, guests can look forward to relaxing in comfort and style! A Sun Rae Hideaway offers ample outdoor space to enjoy from the shaded area under the house to the large covered front and back porches. Take in the sunset from the rocking chairs and enjoy the gulf breezes!

Inside the home, no detail has been spared with modern decor and furnishings. The living area features plush seating, a large TV, and access to both the front and back covered decks, plus a sleeper sofa to accommodate 2 guests. In addition, the living room offers cute beanbags for the kids in the family. The living area flows into the open dining area, which also allows guests to take in the views while enjoying a meal. 
The showstopping kitchen features wall-to-wall windows for plenty of light to prepare a meal and enjoy the view! The kitchen also offers granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, extra seating at the bar, and more than enough storage for snacks and supplies. Small appliances, cookware, and dinnerware are provided to give guests the comforts of home while on vacation. 

A Sun Rae Hideaway offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The gorgeous master bedroom features a king-sized bed to sleep 2, views all around, a TV, and a private en-suite bathroom with a tub shower combo. On the other side of the house, bedrooms 2 and 3 share a sunny and fun hall bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Bedroom 2 features a queen-sized bed to sleep 2 and a TV as well. Bedroom 3 is a great space for kids, offering two sets of twin bunk beds to sleep 4. Two additional guests can sleep on the living room sofa sleeper.

About Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes.  However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.  We have no exception to this policy.

Fort Morgan Town was great. Super quite and nice. From front door to toes in the sand was 5-6 minute walk for us. The house was the cleanest we’ve stayed at so far and a nice layout. Partial view of the ocean. Comes with travel size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each full bath. Two dishwasher tabs, two kitchen trash bags and travel size dish soap with sponge. Kitchen was stocked with about every utensil and dish you should need. Restaurants we recommend going to are LuLu’s, The Hangout, and Nonna’s Pizzeria.

Wonderful beach house for our family of 6 (3, 8, 11, 13yo). The bedroom and bed configuration worked really well, and there was enough space for everyone to move around. The kitchen was wonderful and the front and back decks were very enjoyable. The house was nicely decorated and furnished. The walk to the beach was less than 10 minutes, and the beach was not busy (likely because there aren’t high rise condos around). The house is about 22 minutes from the main area of Gulf Shores shopping and dining, so plan accordingly. There is a wagon, shovels, buckets, etc. for the beach. There were a few folding chairs, but we ended up bringing our own and didn’t try them out. Make sure you bring your own beach towels. Things to consider/ plan: they supply enough consumables to get you through the first couple nights. If you’re going to be staying longer, you may want to stop at Target/ Walmart to pick up TP, paper towels, dish washer soap, washer detergent, basket

Stayed at Sun Rae in Ft Morgan for 10days! The location is secluded and very private if you want a quiet location. The beach was outstanding, dog friendly and you will have enough space for all your family. The property was clean, stocked with everything we needed for our 10day stay. The only hiccup that happened was one of the community pools was closed however the larger pool was still available. Would recommend and will boom again in the future.

We had a great stay at the Sun Rae Hideaway. The house is beautifully decorated and had plenty of room for my husband and 3 small children. Our girls loved their bunk room and the different toys/puzzle. Overall very kid friendly but it would be nice if there were a couple of baby gates for the front and back stairs to make it even more small kid/baby friendly because we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. There were a few beach chairs, a boogie board, and a tube for the ocean. A reviewer about a year ago mentioned a beach wagon and bikes but those were no longer there- so just a heads up. I also would suggest maybe leaving behind some type of cleaning spray for accidental spills. It wasn't a terrible walk (10 minutes or so) to the beach(my 4 and 2 year old managed) and on the front porch you can see the ocean. Also one of the pools is less than 5 minutes away. Overall we loved our stay and definitely recommend this property.

We spent a week in Fort Morgan the house was everything we could have wanted and more just a very short walk to the beach and pool. Plenty of room with lots of extras, a short drive into Gulf Shores for anything you want/ need. We will definitely be back again! Wifi is quite slow and a little temperamental but if it hadn't rained a couple days we wouldn't have really needed it for much. Would be nice to have some kids channels in the TV package but we just rented some movies to pass the time while it rained. Overall we have no complaints and had a very relaxing family Vacation!!!!

This house was very clean, the kitchen has EVERYTHING, beds and towels were fresh. Very short walk to public access beach entry. We were only three days but could have stayed longer. Another family that we traveled with stayed in a different area and their rental home was nothing compared to this one.

Perfect!

From the moment we walked in and the kids found "their room" with "their toys", everything was perfect. Very family friendly with everything you could need for a great vacation. The walk to the beach and pool was short and doable even with a 15 month old in tow... the closet full of miscellaneous beach items was a wonderful surprise. We would definitely stay here again.

This home was perfect for our two families. There were 4 adults and 5 children, but we never felt cramped and had plenty of room. The home was clean and beautifully decorated. We were surprised by how well-stocked the home was as well. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The adult bikes, wagon, tons of beach toys, beach chairs, and games were amazing! We know for next time not to haul all that those things with us! We fell in love with this place and highly recommend it!

Wonderful Getaway

Our family of 4 enjoyed this new beach home and beach away from crowds. It is about 20 min drive to Gulf Shores restaurants but worked for us. Walk to beach (4 min) and pool (2 min) was easy. Would have liked tv access to Amazon Prime or ordering movies but HBO and Starz was available. Kitchen well stocked; plenty of linens. Nice decor. WiFi worked ok but not strong for streaming or reliable zoom calls but that is due to the area. Property management was friendly and quick to reply to questions.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at A Sun Rae Hideaway! It was by far the cleanest and most well furnished of all the houses we've rented in Fort Morgan. Short walk to the beach and quite a bit closer to Gulf Shores. Pet friendly and nice area to ride bikes and take walks as well. We were so happy with A Sun Rae Hideaway on our second day there we booked it for the same time period in 2024!
