Custom designed for relaxation and family time, furnished with luxury and comfort in mind, and located directly on the tranquil, secluded beach of Fort Morgan, Chacahoula will become your beloved home the moment you arrive. The perfect beach house must be first about the beach, and beach access is easy at Chacahoula.

Just walk out over the dunes to your 75 feet of private beach! And when you’re done with the sun, come back to a multitude of outdoor spaces. At ground level, Chacahoula features a beach room with a refrigerator and icemaker, a grilling deck (gas grill provided) furnished with a picnic table and swing, two enclosed outdoor showers and one “rinse-off” shower, plus covered parking for up to four cars. Or leave the cars in the drive and have a rousing game of tricycle chase or corn hole in the shade. Heading upstairs, you’ll enjoy porches and decks facing both the bay and the beach, where you will always find the perfect spot to relax—in a rocking chair sipping wine, at a table munching chips, or in a chaise longue doing absolutely nothing. The focus on the beach continues inside where the design is all about natural finishes, light, and relaxation. All the walls and ceilings are wood, white or white-washed. The floor is natural oak. The cabinetry is built-in and custom-designed. The large, numerous windows and glass doors fill the spaces with natural light.

The open living area is located on the second floor so that nothing will impede the panoramic view of the Gulf (or fireworks thunderstorms or shrimp boats) through the expanse of windows and sliding glass doors across the front of the house. For a closer look, you can step out onto the covered deck that spans the width of the house and provides shaded outdoor dining and seating for lazy afternoons—or keep a close eye on the kids on the beach during toddy time! The interior dining area offers views of St. Andrews Bay and access to the northside deck, perfect for those moments when the breeze is a little strong out of the south or the summer sun is setting more toward the north. To one side of the living/dining area is the beautiful, fully-equipped, gourmet kitchen. With all updated appliances, a large eat-in island, and a double-faucet sink, the kitchen accommodates multiple cooks, breakfasts throughout the morning, late-night snacks, or a pot of coffee that’s never empty. On the other side of the living/dining area is the media room with a 75-inch Frame TV, a room full of comfortable seating, and pocket doors to close off the game or the movie if it gets too loud.

When it’s time to retreat to bed or privacy, Chacahoula’s six bedrooms and six baths offer the perfect accommodation for every member of your group. On the first floor, the primary bedroom features a king-size bed and an en suite bath with shower and soaking tub. A beachside deck is just outside the sliding glass doors, and a private office (or tiny room for a crib?) provides work-from-home space. A second couple can escape to another king-bed bedroom on the first floor. They will have similar access to a beachfront deck and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combo just off the hallway. The grown but single children, the visiting single aunts, or the friends who came together will want the third bedroom on this floor with its two XL twin beds and a private bath, accessed from the hall and equipped with an oversized, cultured marble shower. But the kids will love the bunk room with its two sets of bunks, a large TV for movies and gaming, plenty of floor space for Lego creations or dramatic productions, an en suite bath with tub/shower combo, and access to the beachside decks. The third floor provides a gathering spot with a large television and sleeping nook plus two more bedrooms with king-size beds. These rooms both have access to the third-floor deck with spectacular views of the sweep of Fort Morgan’s gorgeous beach. The large bath features an oversized cultured marble shower.

About Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

Rental Policy

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older to reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy.
