Millie's Sandcastle

This place is fabulous. It lacks nothing. The kitchen had all the appliances you could ask for. The furniture is very comfortable and I loved the decor. The owners have thought of everything you would need and then some. Can’t wait to return soon.

Millie's Sandcastle was the ideal spot for our family's spring break vacation. Being right on the gulf makes all the difference. With 6 adults and 6 kids, we needed all 6 bedrooms. Each with a bathroom is a huge plus, along with washer/dryer on each bedroom floor. The elevator was really helpful as we arrived and departed with all our luggage and "stuff". The kitchen was well outfitted, better than we expected, including an air fryer and lots of Tupperware. Even a separate ice maker and an extra refrigerator. The pool is small, just 16'x5', but the young girls spent lots of time in it. Minor items... it would be good to know the coffee maker requires cone filters. A pitcher and oven mitts would be helpful. And there was an issue with the dryers having clogged ductwork.

We were planning to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary last year (2024) and in looking for a house to sleep 16 people. I found “Millie’s Sandcastle” and it was just right for our family. I can tell you that it was the most wonderful, perfect week of vacation that our family has ever had! Aside from the pure joy of us all being together and nice beach/pool weather, the house was everything we hoped. King beds, each en-suite plus bunk room for the 4 older grandkids. Babies slept in pack n’ plays with their parents. Beds were quality, comfortable mattresses, the bathrooms were mostly lovely walk-in showers, one did have a tub. The main floor had plenty of comfortable seating and the kitchen had everything you could want! We did have some minor issues with the dishwasher and a 4th floor dryer, but those were quickly repaired by Harris. The deck and pool were a big hit! We did have it heated and the kids spent hours in it. They also were on the beach, which is one of the highlights of Gulf shores! I was so thankful for the elevator since it is difficult for me to use stairs. It was a godsend! I wouldn’t have been nearly as mobile, plus it was very helpful for luggage. I started coming to Gulf Shores in 1966 and so much has changed since then! But it is still a special place for us. Thank you Harris for your help in our making this trip the most beautiful, special week ever for our family.

Beautiful home and beautiful location! We hope to make our family of 15 trip an annual event. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The kids LOVED the pool and beach. The adults LOVED the amenities of the home and it's location.

The kids enjoyed the pool and beach while the adults enjoyed the amazing amenities of the home and the view. We plan to take this trip annually and would like nothing more than to stay at Millie's Sandcastle each time if we return to Gulf Shores.

We had a blast! The views were breathtaking!! Easy access to the beach or just chill in the pool. The house was amazing, very clean, and had everything you needed. The kitchen was top notch but if you don’t feel like cooking restaurants are a short drive away. My family and I would highly recommend this property!!

Our family takes one week each summer to vacation at the beach. We have three adult children, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren. This house was excellent for all of us to have private spaces, a large living room and kitchen along with easy access to the beach! We could not have asked for a better arrangement. The pool was perfect for late evening play. We were close to restaurants but away from the crowds. We had a wonderful vacation!

The place was absolutely beautiful. Everything we needed was available to us. Very accessible short drive to sightseeing shopping, etc. Looking to return next year!

Millies Sandcastle was beautiful. Right on beach with great walk out, deck and salt water pool. Elevator was a great asset for handicap. There was nothing we lacked for kitchen very well equipped with all items. We had hoped to be back next year but someone has grabbed it. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful spacious home in the perfect location.

The issues we did have were dealt with very quickly, and it was always easy to communicate. The house was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. The stove thing turned out to be not that big a deal. I think the screws everywhere in the sand were the bigger deal with all the kids running around. But, you guys were right on top of it, and it was the carelessness of whoever was building the boardwalk, and not yours. Over all we had a wonderful time.

This house was perfect for our big family get together.. and you can beat the location right on the beach! The oven quit while we were staying there but they seemed to be ordering a new one and provided back up air fryers to use. Not a big deal for us and the property management team was quick to respond. Would definitely visit again!

This property was just as beautiful as the pictures, if not better! The beach and pool were wonderful and the property managers were easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

The entire home was beautiful! It had plenty of room and privacy for the 3 families that came on our thanksgiving vacation. Unfortunately, we have a family of bad backs, but the beds were amazing!!!! They were the perfect stiffness to not wake up with that awful feeling in your lower back! Also, we were all pleasantly surprised that when everyone decided to shower around the same time the water stayed hot through all showers! And the elevator! We got very spoiled by the elevator. It was so helpful to get the heavy luggage up to the 3rd and 4th floors! The only thing we would change, and it's extremely miniscule... the top floor bedroom on the left with the balcony, to change the tv you had to remove the battery from the remote and reinstall....every channel lol! Not a big deal at all, but worth looking into. We have already made up our minds that this will be our family's Thanksgiving rental from now on! We loved it!

The house was as described and pictured but even better than expected! This was a trip with 3 families and it was perfect for all of us to have ample room to gather but also have our own spaces. The amenities were great and all the small touches and attention to detail were much appreciated putting this property at the top of our list.

Great vacation home (thans to Harris)! However lovely, the house (for the $$) should include beach towells and chairs......

This was one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed at. Steps to the beach & super easy to store & clean our beach gear. Great amount of parking for our large family. Plenty of bedrooms & king size beds. Gorgeous decor. Immaculately clean. The convenience of an elevator, extra fridge & grocery cart. Our very own beachside salt water pool. Just beautiful! We greatly enjoyed our time & meeting up with family at Millie’s Sandcastle!

One of the best rental properties we have ever stayed at. Had a family of four generations...youngest being one year old, the oldest 87 years old. Each bedroom with a king size bed and TV and washer/dryer on the floors with bedrooms made living arrangements easy to manage. Pool on the back deck was perfect for the little people and provided peace of mind for the adults trying to keep track of them. Property was much better than the pictures portrayed. Management team was incredibly responsive and worked overtime to meet some of our concerns.

This was our first family vacation with all of our adult children, their spouses and children. We wanted a large gathering space as well as individual private spaces for each little family unit that was only a few steps to get in the water and we found the perfect spot at Millie's Sand Castle! Every detail was perfectly thought out at this home. Spacious Luxury that was also kid friendly. Our family loved every detail and amenity. The pool was nice and clean. The views were gorgeous. It was mere minutes to drive to stores or restaurants. Though we hated to leave the home when it has such a fantastic kitchen! We have only great things to say about it. We highly recommend Millie's Sand Castle and Harris Property Management for your next vacation!

The home was perfect for our 4 family vacation for our parent’s anniversary. Great location on the beach, pool for the kiddos, and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not be on top of each other. Just beautiful!

This house was off the charts AMAZING! From the views, the pool, and having to only walk a few steps to the beach. Harris Properties was very prompt with any questions or minor issues during our stay. We will def be back here again.

We had a family of 10 that stayed for a week. It was a great property on the beach. It was well stocked with the necessities. It was very comfortable for our family. The only negative is that the pool is very small, this was not advertised or pictured well.
