Sheps Ahoy

Just got back from trip. Property was as described, clean when we checked in, process was easy. Could be listed as beachfront (almost), you can sit on the front porch and look through the two beachfront houses and see the ocean. Easy to walk (maybe 75 yards or so?) to the beachfront. Quiet neighborhood. Also, this was my first rental that I did NOT have to purchase a barbecue grill (place had a decent sized one in good condition). Only cons were issues with cable / internet throughout the entire stay (until one day before we left); made it difficult/impossible for work meetings and movie viewing at night. (hopefully the 2 visits completely solved the issues for the owners and next guests).Property management was prompt in responding when we called/messaged and the person they sent was nice and was able to fix issues (door sticking and a window that wouldn't close after a storm) quickly and efficiently. If you want a laid back, chill on the beach vacation, this area is great.

We definitely recommend staying with Harris Vacations. The booking was incredibly easy, their instructions on check in and out were very clear and we absolutely loved the house. The location, house, and price were all perfect and exactly what we wanted for our vacation. Our family of 3 stayed at Sheps Ahoy with our friends who are also a family of 3. We had plenty of room and never felt crowded. The location was great and the view was even better. We were steps from the beautiful white sand beach and completely enjoyed our stay. The beach was NEVER crowded and we had a ton of room to wander. This will be an unforgettable vacation thanks to Harris Vacations!

We loved the location and amenities of this beach house. Perfect for our mini family reunion. Only recommendation is to provide more toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, dw detergent, and trash bags. It is tough being on vacation when you have to run to the store for household essentials. One roll of toilet paper and paper towels, and two trash bags are not enough for an 8 bedroom house. Other than that, we loved avery minute! Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful home. Easy beach access. Would book again!

My family loved our stay here. The little path to the beach was perfect for our 4 kiddos and we couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and laid back beach experience. The appliances were a bit dated and difficult to work with and the outside shower didn’t work so we just used the hose, but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to vacation in Gulf Shores!

We visited Sheps Ahoy back in June of this year. My family of 4 along with friends of ours that also had 2 kids. We LOVED the location of the home with how close we were to the beach. The drive into town to all the restaurants was a little aggravating but we didn't mind it to much. This was our first visit to Gulf Shores so we didn't really know what to expect. The house had plenty of room. The only complaint we have is that the TVs in the bedrooms especially the bunk room are EXTREMELY small. The beds slept good. We had plenty of parking and covered storage space. We also wish we had checked out the local restaurants earlier than the night before we left. Thank you again to Harris Vacations for helping us book the perfect house for group! We will definitely be using you again.

The house was located perfectly right across the street from the beach. It had a unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. It was fun that the Sassy Bass was within walking distance and you didn’t have to get on major road to go to the market. The house was clean and set up nicely. The house has a great layout.
