Overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, the Sunset Grille at Holiday Harbor Marina offers its diners fresh seafood and amazing waterfront views. Winner of a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award in 2020, Sunset Grille is one restaurant you shouldn’t miss if you love watching colorful sunsets over the water and delicious fresh seafood.
Sunset Grille was damaged slightly when Hurricane Sally swept through, but they have everything open again. You’ll be able to sit inside (enjoying the AC when things get too hot), or sit outside on their dock-side deck or porch (where they’ll turn the heaters on for those occasionally chilly nights). They have separate areas for the kids to play while you’re waiting for your meal, and they’re pet-friendly too.
The Menu at Sunset Grille
Social media posts call out the Sunset Grille’s Grilled or Blackened Grouper, Blackened Mahi-Mahi Tacos, and their Trigger Fish Bites. The Trigger Fish Bites (or Grouper Bites) are just one of their appetizers you can start things off with. Try their Smoked Tuna Dip, order by the scoop. They have the usual Fried Pickle Chips, Fried Local Blue Crab Claws and Popcorn Shrimp on the list, but also offer Wisconsin Cheese Curds, and Pork Rinds to start.
There are a few salads – add fish or their smoked tuna dip to make it a meal, and Seafood Chowder and Seafood and Sausage Gumbo is on the menu too. There are Fried Baskets, Po’boys, Sandwiches, Tacos, Wraps, Burgers and more. There are plenty of options too if someone in your group can’t (or won’t) eat seafood. Entrees can be fried, blackened or grilled, and you can choose from Triple Tail or Mahi-Mahi, Trigger Fish, Shrimp, Oysters, Scallops, Snapper, Grouper, Chicken or one of their combos.
There are a few choices for the kids at Sunset Grille Perdido Key, including some Kid’s Frozen Specialty Drinks so they won’t be left out when the adults are enjoying their cocktails. Be sure to leave room for their homemade desserts if you can. Ask about the monthly pie special, or just go for the Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. It’s ok if you get it to go.
The Sunset Grille Perdido Key is right on the water, so it’s accessible by car or by boat, so if you’re out on the water and find yourself in need of refreshment, come on over. Sunset Grille is open daily except Tuesdays. Go online (or call 850-492-1063) to check their hours and to order Take-out. Their hours will vary season to season and could also be affected by the repairs and the pandemic. They don’t accept reservations, but if you grab one of their specialty cocktails while you wait, it won’t matter.
