If you’re ready for an upscale dining experience, drive over to the Beach Club Resort and Spa’s Coast Restaurant and Sushi Bar in Gulf Shores. The resort is right on the beach, and this seasonal restaurant offers the wonderful views of the ocean that you’ve come here for.
The casual, upscale resort feel is strengthened by bright white interiors with columns framing the beach view. The coffered ceilings and chandeliers add a formal touch to the dining area. You’ll need to dress up a bit, but it’s worth it. Dine in the elegant dining room and bar or sit outside on the large veranda.
Seafood, steaks, pasta, sushi and more are available from the menu. There is something for everyone here, and it’s all beautifully presented.
Starters at this coastal restaurant in Gulf Shores include crispy lobster fingers (served with vanilla bean honey mustard—yum!), oysters, pickled pepper calamari, crab claws, coast ceviche, oysters Rockefeller, parmesan truffle fries, or ratatouille and goat cheese dip.
Steamer platter options include royal red shrimp, snow crab clusters, shrimp and crab combo, or the Coast Steamer Combo, which offers a little of everything. Seafood platters include the usual seafood choices, and you can order the fresh catch of the day grilled, blackened, or fried.
House seafood specialties include shrimp and grits, lobster mac & cheese, house smoked grilled salmon, seafood pasta, grilled lobster tail, and parmesan crusted grouper. For those diners looking for something other than seafood, menu items include a ribeye, New York strip, Chicken Auroa, and a burger. Leave room for desert – white chocolate macadamia bread pudding sounds good!
The Coast Sushi Bar is separate from the Coast Restaurant kitchen, and you can order most sushi items while seated in the main dining room, although sashimi is available at the Sushi Bar only. Please be patient as sushi orders take longer than the other menu orders. Try the Chirashi – The Coast calls it the ultimate sushi fix; it consists of rice, avocados, bacon, tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, yellowtail and broiled crab salad. You can also order specialty sushi rolls, Uramaki rolls, Futomaki rolls or Nigiri.
Signature cocktails includes a section especially for sushi meals, classic bourbon cocktails, sparklers, martinis, mules and rum favorites.
Right on the beach, The Beach Club Resort and Spa’s Coast Restaurant and Sushi Bar can be found at 453 Beach Club Trail in Gulf Shores. This seasonal restaurant is open March through October, Sunday through Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. Sushi is served Tuesday through Sundays.
