Another Orange Beach favorite, Cobalt Restaurant in Gulf Shores is owned by the same dynamic dining duo as Luna’s Eat & Drink and Cosmo’s. With chefs working in three different kitchens, this contemporary dining establishment has been offering fresh, local seafood and much more for lunch and dinner for over ten years.
Tucked under the Perdido Bay Bridge, every table has an amazing view of the bay for up close waterfront dining. If you’re out on the water cruising around, just drop by and anchor in one of the nearby slips. Eat inside in the airy, colorful dining area or dine out on the large outdoor patio, listening to live music as you sip one of their specialty cocktails.
Menu favorites include the Firecracker Shrimp, Crab Bisque, Shrimp and Grits, Crab Claws and Shrimp Fra Diavolo. The dinner menu includes the Fresh Catch, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackened Redfish, and Pecan Fried Catfish. Salads, sandwiches, pasta, several meat entrees and pizza round out the menus. And don’t forget the oysters – go for the Combination Platter so you can get a variety of these local wonders. Order as many as you want; Cobalt Restaurant is a part of the Alabama Oyster Shell Recycling Program, so every oyster is recycled back into the local environment!
Recent dinner specials have included Almond Coconut Crusted Halibut (served over jasmine rice and grilled asparagus, topped with a mango salsa), and the Bronzed Red Snapper served over squash and zucchini rice. Check their Facebook page for their daily specials.
Come by for the Sunday Brunch from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. They’re serving up pretty much anything you could want – salads, vegetables, baked strata, omelets (fresh from the omelet station) and their delicious desserts.

There are separate kids and gluten-free menus too. Cobalt is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
