SASSY BASS AMAZIN’ GRILL

Joseph Pawlak | December 12, 2022

Part of the Sassy Bass family (home to creative and unique ideas), Sassy Bass Amazin’ Grill in Gulf Shores is a quirky beachfront hangout. If you’re looking for great food, an ocean view, and maybe an amazin’ cocktail or two, this is the place. Don’t forget to holler when the ship bell rings!

Atmosphere of Sassy Bass Aamzin’ Grill

Colorful may be the best word to describe this beach bar and restaurant. Everything in Sassy Bass Amazin’ Grill is colorful, including the patrons. And live music is a big part of this establishment too. Grab a cocktail and head out to the deck, nestled among the dunes, or sit in the screened-in porch. Either way, the view is amazin’! Of course, you can always sit inside too, closer to the bar and live music. Happy hour cocktails include their Smokin’ Bass Bowl Drinks, served in a 16 oz logo cup or a fishbowl (yes, a fishbowl). Try the Coconut Margarita or the Painkiller and start smiling.

Menu

Get an early start on things with breakfast (from 8am – 11am) at Sassy Bass Amazin’ Grill in Gulf Shores. There are the usual offerings like pancakes, omelets and French toast, but there are some more unique menu items too: savory porridge (pork’n’oatmeal porridge with eggs), and their ‘famous’ shrimp’n’gouda cheese grits skillet. Make sure to order a side of plantains or beignets. The lunch menu is short and sweet, including bacon/egg/cheese biscuits, fish tacos, and a BLT po’boy.

Start your dinner off with crab crostini, porridge balls, jalapeno hush puppies, oysters or crab claws, spicy candied bacon or their famous gouda cheese balls (just to name a few starters). Entrees include po’boys, fish of the day, amazin’ tuna crab cakes, bronzed grouper and Chilean sea bass.

If you had good luck fishing, bring your catch in and they’ll fix it up for you. And, their kids’ meals are served on a take-home Frisbee.
